Tweening

Open Flash CS4

New...>Flash File (ActionScript 2)

Change the stage size to 640 X 480 in the Property Window

Choose a white background and 12 fps

Save it as lnTweens.fla

Label Layer 1 as "shapeTween"

Draw a perfect circle with a green fill and no stroke

Select frame 50 in your timeline, "F7" (Insert blank keyframe). Notice that the circles frames are automatically extended to meet up with the blank keyframe.

In the "color" widow, choose Radial, for a Mixer Type

Make a custom gradient and save it to your palette

With frame 50 still selected:

Use your "custom color gradient" in a perfect square (fill, no stroke)

Select any frame between your two keyframes and select Insert>ShapeTween from the menu. Your timeline should now have a green tint and a solid arrow in it.

Press the "Return" key to play it

Save it

Create another layer & label it "classicTween"

Select frame 1

Draw a circle, fill it with a linear gradient, no stroke

Select the circle with thye selection tool (Black Arrow), Modify>Convert to Symbol (F8)

Name it "circle", choose "Graphic", and Center Registration

Click "OK". Notice that it is on stage with a "Bounding Box" around it and it is in your custom Library

Select frame 50, then F6, and then move the graphic name "circle" to a different place

Select the Graphic "Circle" in frame 50

Window>Transform

Check "Constrain" (chain link) and shrink the graphic to 10%

Select the Graphic on the stage (Now at 10%)

From the Property Palette change it's Alpha, Color>Alpha

Make Alpha = 0

Select any frame between the two keyframes & choose Insert>Classic Tween

The frames should be a light lavender & have an arrow in it

With the frame still selected, Rotate it Clock-Wise 4 X's

Make sure there is a check mark next to "Scale"

Play your animation, Control>Play (Return Key)

Save

Create another layer & label it "textTween"

Select frame 1

Type the word "CSN" in "Static Text", "Arial Black", 36pt., color = Red

With the word selected, Modify>Break Apart (Cmd+B). Do this one more time.

Select your "Rainbow" linear gradient and with the word still selected grab the paint bucket and pour from left to right

Select frame 50, then F7

Type "GRC119" in "Static Text", "Arial Black", 36pt., color = Red

With the word selected, Modify>Break Apart (Cmd+B). Do this one more time.

Select your "Rainbow" linear gradient and with the word still selected grab the paint bucket and pour from left to right

Select any frame between your two keyframes and choose Insert>Shape Tween from your Menu. Your timeline should now have a green tint and a solid arrow in it.

Save

Play your animation

Test your Movie (Control>Test Movie)

e-Mail me the lnTweens.swf file that was created when you tested the movie.
